Well this page is about to take a definite turn for the better. I used to spice this page up with answers to life's many questions. The answers ranged from conviction to determination, from no to maybe, from steadfastness to ambiguity. All depending on my mood that month. But now I will use this platform to tell you what's happening in my life, what I hope to happen, and my view points on particular subjects.
First of all let me start by letting you all know that I have recently gotten engaged. Her name is Diana, we met a long time ago when we were both 12. At the time she was my cousin Veronica's best friend, and we wrote 100s of pages worth of letters to each other. Originally it was to gossip about Veronica behind her back, but it turned into a really nice friendship that never fully blossomed. Last Christmas I had gotten a card from her and her parents, and her mother had received a computer from her son-in-law Todd (see guestbook). So I used the opportunity to see Diana and the family again after almost 4 years (9 years since we really talked to each other), and offered my computer services to them. They made me dinner, and I hooked up the computer and later showed her the basics of the Internet. I then came up with a plan so that I could go there more often, I offered to barter my tutoring services to Diana's mother (Jean, who is a really good teddy bear artist) for a custom made teddy bear for my mother's birthday. During that time Diana and I became friends again, and we invited other people over the one night a week that I went over there to play Clue, Monopoly, and of course Balderdash. We were both to timid to make the first move, because we were both a little confused and/or hurt from the past. But with a little bit of anonymous prodding from her mother and "The Pelican Brief" we became a definite item on June 24th, 1999. In that time we went up to Toronto to escort her nephew down to Florida and got to know each other better. We started going to premarital counseling with their longtime good friend Viv John. Who shared with us a word he had gotten from the Lord. On August 21st, 1999 I proposed at Woodland Waters, by cutting out the center of the book Great Expectations and placing the ring inside it. She said "yes," and the date is set for March 4th, 2000. Well that's that.
The other things that are happening in my life include, school and work. I started on my Masters in Management Information Systems at the University of South Florida this past Fall and should finish this August of 2000. I'm currently working at a really great job, developing Active Server Pages at First Choice Systems in Tampa. If you have any subjects you would like me to express my views on here, please e-mail me.
Ezekiel 11
19 I will give them an undivided heart and put a new spirit in
them; I will remove from them their heart of stone and give them a heart of
flesh.
20 Then they will follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws.
They will be my people, and I will be their God.
Ezekiel 12
28 "Therefore say to them, `This is what the Sovereign LORD
says: None of my words will be delayed any longer; whatever I say will be
fulfilled, declares the Sovereign LORD.'"
